New web site features for October click here
| School Closings | Pender County Schools will open on a 2 hour delay on Monday, October
18th. Stay tuned to further announcements on local media. We
will try to post information on this site as soon as possible.
(Let's hope we won't need to address the issue anymore this year.)

| Beauty and The Beast | On October 21, the PTA will present Beauty and The Beast, a full scale theatrical production performed by Theater IV - The Children's Theater of Virginia at 1:00 pm in the multipurpose room for all students. Parents are also invited to attend. | |
| Benefit Performances | Theater IV will also do a benefit performance of the
children's classic, Hanzel and Gretel Thursday afternoon at Rocky
Point Elementary School as a special gift to students of flood ravaged
areas of our county. Pender County Schools have arranged to use
buses to transport students from surrounding schools for the
performance.
Then, Theater IV will do another, public, benefit performance of aHanzel and Gretel at Wilmington's Thalian Hall Thursday night, October 21st at 7:00 pm. Admission is $4.00 per seat with all proceeds going to benefit area flood victims through the Salvation Army. | Fall Festival | As previously announced, the PTA sponsored Fall Festival, originally scheduled for 10/22/99 has been canceled. Instead, planning is underway for a Spring Fling. Watch for exact dates to be announced later. | |

| Submit Event Listings | Use the form in our events calendar section to let us know about upcoming events around the school. You will also see links to the form on each month's event calendar. | |
| New Private Forum | Originally, we used a free add-on program from a commercial site as the engine for our Forum feature. We have now developed our own private Forum within our site. It is only accessible through our site and has no outside commercial advertising. Please feel free to start or join any online discussion you like here. However, our viewers would most appreciate topics related to public schools, parenting, local school issues, etc. As with most online discussion boards, you can feel free to sign in with your own name or under a nickname. | |
